He also earned his Masters in Business Management at Capitol University and currently pursuing his Masters in Maritime Education at John B. Lacson. He is a licensed Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch. He was once the Safety Officer of Capitol University. Prior to his teaching stint, he was 3rd Officer of United Philippine Lines/Shell International where he was given a special commendation for exemplary performance onboard. This system was enforced for mandatory installation as of February 1, 1999 to passenger vessels and cargo vessels of 300 gross tonnage and upwards engaged on international voyages.
